IIABKC is the King County chapter of IIABW (Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Washington), the state's largest trade association, representing independent insurance agents and insurance brokers in Washington.

Our mission is to promote education, and intimate, organic networking events in our local community that foster fellowship and professionalism in the insurance industry.

Public Relations enhancement. The IIABKC works hard to educate the public on the role of the independent insurance agent and provide press exposure for activities of the organization.

Lisa Rodriguez
Brown & Riding
Lisa Rodriguez has been working in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She has been with Brown & Riding since 2000 (formerly Alexander Morford & Woo, before the company merged with B&R in 2010). She started in an entry-level position and worked her way up to Broker in roughly 6 years’ time. Rodriguez has achieved significant growth during her tenure and established the company’s small business unit, which is high volume, low cost, and high profitability. She adeptly manages thousands of accounts. She has been a company Principal since 2011.
Rodriguez has always been very involved in the insurance community. She routinely teaches continuing education courses on EPL and Management Liability and is an expert on the D&O exposures plaguing non-profit organizations. She has been teaching CE courses for over 15 years. Rodriguez is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
